Solving math problems example


Example:

Solving the inequalities 6x – 10 > 4x +16

Solution:

The given inequalities is

6x – 10 > 4x +16

Adding the 10 on both side of equation

6x -10+10> 4x +16+10

6x>4x+26

Subtract 4x on both side of the inequality equation

2x>26

Simplifying the x

x>24/2

x>12

Example:

Solve the coefficient of the given equation

1 - 2 / (x - 3) = 12

Solution:

This equation in the form of rational expression, multiply the given expression by the denominator (x -3)

(x - 3) (1 - 2 / (x - 3)) = (x - 3)12

Simplify the above expression we get

(x - 3) - 2 = 12 (x - 3)

Multiplying the factors value and grouping the like terms in the expression.

x - 5 = 12x – 36

Add value -12x to both sides of equation and simplifying the equation

-11x - 5 = - 36

Add value + 5 to both sides of the equation

-11x = - 31

Solve for x

x = 31 /11.

Example:

Isolating the variable x in equation

2x + 12 = x + 4y

To isolating the variable x, to get all the x terms on one side of the equation

So we need to subtract x from both sides of the given equation

2x + 12 - x = x + 4y - x

x + 12 = 4y

Get rid of the 12 on the left side of the equation

x + 12 - 12 = 4y - 12

x = 4y – 12

Problem:

Solving the coefficient of the equation

1 - 2 / (x - 6) = 14

Answer:

x = 92 /13.

Problem:

Solving the inequalities 5x – 12 > 4x +12

Answer:

x>24

Problem:

Isolate the variable x in equation
2x + 10 = x + 8y

Answer:

x = 8y – 10
