Equilateral Polygon

Introduction to equilateral polygon:

Let us discuss the equilateral polygon. The equilateral polygon has all sides equal. Polygon is called more than one line segments that are connected to the closed plane. In many side picture name is polygon. The shape of the polygon is two dimensional shapes. The equilateral polygon is one of the basic types of polygon.

Equilateral Polygon

The equilateral polygon's another name is regular polygon. The regular or equilateral polygon's  every side is equal and each angles are equal. The n – sided polygon is called the equilateral polygon. More than 8 sided polygon generally known as the n – gon.

The equilateral three sided polygon is called the equilateral triangle. This type of triangle's three sides are equal in length. The following diagram is declaring the equilateral triangle.

In the above equilateral triangle length is 6cm. All sides are equal length so this type of  triangle is known as equilateral triangle.

The equilateral four sided polygon which is called  the equilateral square. This type polygon's four sides are equal in length. The following diagram is equilateral square.

In the above equilateral square is each side length is 4cm. All interior angles are measure the 90 degree. The equilateral polygon interior angle formula is (180o n – 360o) / n. The n is representing the number of sides.

Calculate the interior angle of square. The equilateral square side is 4.

solution:

The interior angle = (180o n – 360o) / n

= (180o * 4 – 360o) / 4

= (720o – 360o) / 4

= (360o) /4

= 90o

The interior angle of equilateral square is 90 degree.

Different Sides of Equilateral Polygon

The following diagram is declaring the different sides of equilateral polygon. There are 5 side, 6 side, 7 sides, 8 sides, and 9 side equilateral polygon.
The above diagram is all sides are equal so it is called the equilateral polygon.
