Angles Measured in Degrees and Radians

Introduction to angles measured in degrees and radians:

The angles can be measured in the degrees. A degree is the one which is the measure angles. The angles are measured in degrees and the symbol of degree is a small circle at the top side of the variables or the numbers. The degrees are derived from the parts of the circle. The radians are nothing but the `180/pi` which is approximately given as 57.2958.

Thus, the degrees can be measured. From the value of degrees the radians can be determined with the help of multiplying the degree values or with the number 57.2958 gives the resultant value in radians.

Now we are going to see about the angles measured in degrees and in radians.

Example 1:

Find the measurement of degree and radians for the given supplementary angle is 95º degrees.

Solution:

The supplementary angles will be up to 180 degrees and can be given as follows,

x + 95º = 180º

Now we take the 95 degree to the other side,

x = 180º - 95º

Then, the supplementary angle is given as,

x = 85º

The supplementary angle of 95º is 85º.

The degree can be changed in radians as follows,

Radians = 85 × `(pi/180)`

Radians = `(85 * 3.14)/180`

Radians = 1.48

Example 2:

Find the measuring of unknown angle x where the angle R is 67 degrees.

Solution:

Now we calculate the acute angle as follows,

The acute angle can be determined and given as follows,

67 + R = 90º

67 + R = 90º

R = 90º - 67º

R = 23º

It can be given in the form of radians as given as follows,

Radians = `(23 * 3.14)/180`

Radians = 0.401
